Survivors Garden ASM is an online support community for childhood abuse survivors and multiples. 

The site's  message forum and chat rooms are great places for survivors of child abuse and multiples to go for support,  to gain information, and to socialize with people who can relate to one another.  There currently are no specific scheduled chat room times, so the rooms are open whenever members want to use them.

Site Philosophy

The owner of this site holds to the the truth that multiples are multiple, not simply individuals who have an identity disorder in which dissociation leads them to believe that there are seperate people within them.  To read an objective decription of 5 different views on multiplicity, Click Here (there is an incorrect detail - 1 sentence - which says people "split ", so ignore that sentence).

The owner of this site also holds to the fact that being multiple is not a disorder.  Individual insiders or alters or whatever you want to call them, may have their own individual problems that make things difficult for the system, but that doesn't make every one of them disordered and it doesn't make their existence the product or symptom of a disorder.

When you go through this site, you will not see the term "dissociative identity disorder" (DID) used to refer to multiples, nor will multiplicity be referred to as a disorder.  This is explained here.  It is preferred that these concepts not be applied to people (saying for example, that someone had DID, or to the real definition of what a multiple is).

Membership

Forum membership just requires that you go to the message forum and register there.  Anyone, whether member or not, may sign up for a Survivors Garden e-mail account.  We suggest you sign up for an e-mail account first, then use that address as the one you enter when signing up to use the site.
